A consultation has been launched to axe late night buses at the weekend for route 319 between Sloane Square and Streatham Hill.
These services have been suspended since the pandemic, but TfL plans to now make this change permanent.
Transport bosses say they have made the decision because there was “limited” use of the route before the pandemic, so its reintroduction cannot be justified.
They add that as the route is already suspended, withdrawing it completely “would not impact any existing passengers”.
The route follows the same journey as the 319 day bus, which will remain in operation, stopping in the King’s Road, Battersea, Clapham Junction, Tooting Bec and Streatham.
TfL has said that the impact of the proposal would be limited, as a number of night bus routes still run between Stretham Hill and Tooting Bec Gardens, as well as between Nortcote Road and Sloane Square.
The night Tube also serves Tooting Bec station on the Northern line.
Passengers will have six weeks to comment on the plans, with a consultation closing on February 23.
