Recalls have been issued on products for a variety of reasons, including some items that may contain pieces of glass, some with incorrect use by dates, and others that may contain pieces of plastic.
We have rounded up the ongoing product recalls you should be aware of.
If you have bought any of the items mentioned below, you need to be aware of these possible health risks.
Tesco Recall
Tesco has apologised to shoppers after they were forced to issue a recall on one of their food products due to a potential health risk.
The supermarket giant has recalled its Tesco 6 Aubergine Katsu Bao Buns because they contain milk not mentioned on the label.
The undeclared milk makes the product a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk.
The affected products have best before dates up to and including December 13.

A Tesco spokesman said: “If you have purchased the affected date code of the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, please return it to any Tesco store for a full refund. No receipt is required.
“No other Tesco products are affected by this recall.
“We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
A spokesman for the Food Standards Agency (FSA) added: “Tesco is recalling the above product from customers and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
“The company has also issued a recall notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
“If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk do not eat it. Instead return it to any Tesco store for a full refund.

Disaronno Recall
A popular alcoholic drink has been recalled ahead of Christmas as it bottles of it may contain pieces of glass.
The potential presence of glass in the 700ml bottles of Disaronno Originale make it “unsafe to drink” according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).
Illva Saronno S.p.A is recalling the Disaronno Originale bottles with the batch codes of 25374, 25375, 25381, 25382, 25435, 25442 and 25444.
An FSA spokesman said: “Illva Saronno S.p.A is recalling the above product. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products.

“These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought it.
“If you have bought the above product, do not consume it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a refund or replacement.

An Illva Saronno S.p.A spokesman added that the reason for the recall was the “possible presence of foreign bodies (micro-fragments of glass) in some units, due to an anomaly on a bottling line”.
They added: “We apologise for any inconvenience. Consumer safety is our priority.”
B&M and Tesco Crisp Recall
Tesco and B&M are urging shoppers to stop scoffing crisps they were flogging due to undeclared ingredients that may trigger a deadly allergic reaction.
The retail giants issued an urgent product recall on some of the Calbee crisps they were selling due to some ingredients not being declared on the label.
Calbee is urgently recalling their Calbee Hot & Spicy Chips because they contain mustard, which is not declared on the label.
They are also recalling their Calbee Pizza Chips because they contain celery which is not mentioned on the label.
In light of this Tesco and B&M are urging anyone who bought the crips not to eat them and have pulled the products from their shelves.
The recall affects 55g and 105g packets of Calbee Hot & Spicy Potato Chips with all best before date codes up to and including June 5, 2026.
The 55g packets of Calbee Pizza Potato Chips with all best before date codes up to and including April 28, 2026, are also being recalled.
Shoppers who bought the snack are advised to return it to their local store for a full refund.
A Food Standards Agency spokesperson said: “Calbee Group UK Ltd is recalling Calbee Hot & Spicy Chips because they contain mustard and Calbee Pizza Chips because they contain celery which are not mentioned on the label.
“This means the products are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to mustard or celery.
“If you’ve bought the above products and have an allergy to mustard or celery, don’t eat them.
“Instead return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.

Aldi Recall
Aldi has announced it is taking the “precautionary measure” of recalling one of its Christmas chocolates as the Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued a “do not eat” warning.
The budget-friendly supermarket is recalling its Dairyfine Salted Caramel Filled Gonks because the product may contain peanuts which are not mentioned on the label.
This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts, the FSA adds.
The specific packs of Dairyfine Salted Caramel Filled Gonks affected are:
- Pack size – 90g
- Batch code – 4061463276865
- Best before date – all dates

In a statement to its customers, Aldi said: “As a precautionary measure, our supplier is recalling Dairyfine Salted Caramel Filled Gonks because it may contain peanuts.
“Customers are asked to return this product to their nearest store, where a full refund will be given.
“We apologise that this product did not meet our normal high standards and thank you for your co-operation.”
The FSA adds: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to peanuts, do not eat it.
“Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Asda Recall
Asda shoppers have been issued a “do not eat” warning after the supermarket giant recalled an item sold across the UK.
The supermarket has recalled its Asda 10 Mini Duck Spring Rolls with Hoisin Dip because they have an incorrect use by date.
As a result of the packaging error, the spring rolls have been considered “unsafe to consume”.
The affected spring rolls have a use by date of December 29 on the packaging, but the actual use by date is November 29.

A spokesman for the Food Standards Agency (FSA) added: “The product listed above has been labelled with an incorrect use by date of 29 December 2025 which makes them unsafe to consume after the correct use by date of 29 November 2025.
“Asda is recalling the above product. Point of sale notices will be displayed in retail stores that are selling the product.
“These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
“If you have bought the above product do not consume it. Instead, please return it to your nearest store for a full refund. You do not need your receipt.

Poundland Recall
Poundland shoppers have been issued a “do not eat” warning after the retailer recalled a food item due to the possible presence of glass.
Poundland & Dealz has recalled The Tasty Snack Co. Roasted and Salted Cashews because the product may contain glass, making it unsafe to eat.
A Poundland spokesman said: “We are asking any consumers who purchased this product to return it to store for a full refund, no receipt is required.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.

“However, the safety and confidence of our consumers and the quality of our products is at the heart of everything we do.”
The affected cashews have a batch code of 56T 25255 and a best before date of July 19, 2026.
A spokesman for the Food Standards Agency (FSA) added: “Poundland & Dealz is recalling the above product.
“Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling it.
“These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought it.
“If you have bought the above product do not consume it. Instead, return it to a Poundland store for a full refund (no proof of purchase required).

Lidl Recall
Lidl shoppers have been issued a “do not eat” warning after the supermarket revealed one of its products may contain glass.
The Simply Roasted and Salted Cashews sold by Lidl has been recalled because it may contain glass, making it unsafe to eat.
A Lidl spokesman said: “Lidl GB is recalling the above-mentioned product due to the potential presence of glass foreign bodies which may present a choking hazard.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your cooperation.”

The affected cashews come in packs of 125g and have a best before date of June 28, 2026.
A Food Standards Agency (FSA) spokesman said: “Lidl GB is recalling the above product.
“Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling it. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought it.

M&S recall
Marks & Spencer is recalling its popular M&S Milk Chocolate Honeycomb because it may contain peanuts which are not mentioned on the label.
This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts.
It’s specifically the M&S Milk Chocolate Honeycomb, pack size 120g, lot number 5242, best before 12 May 2026. No other products are affected.
Marks & Spencer is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice in stores to alert its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
The Food Standard Agency (FSA) says: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to peanuts, do not eat it. Instead return it to your nearest store for a full refund. For more information, please contact Marks & Spencer on 03330 148555.”
Iceland safety recall
Iceland has issued a “do not eat” warning to its customers over a product that may contain pieces of plastic.
The supermarket is recalling its Iceland Vegetable Lasagne because of the risk of plastic in the dish, making it unsafe to eat.
The affected products have best before dates of July 23, 2026, and July 30, 2026.
A spokesman for the FSA also told anyone who has purchased the dish not to eat it.
They said: “Iceland Foods Ltd is recalling the above product. The company has issued a recall notice to its customers.
“These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
“If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund. For more information, please call 0800 328 0800.”
An Iceland spokesman added: “We are taking the precautionary measure of recalling the dates codes of the above product because it may contain hard pieces of plastic making it unsafe to eat.
“Only the best before date codes listed in this notice are affected.
“If you have purchased any of the above product, DO NOT eat it.”
What is a product recall?
If there is a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold, then it might be ‘withdrawn’ (taken off the shelves) or ‘recalled’ (when customers are asked to return the product).
The FSA issues Product Withdrawal Information Notices and Product Recall Information Notices to let consumers and local authorities know about problems associated with food.
In some cases, a ‘Food Alert for Action’ is issued.
This provides local authorities with details of specific actions to be taken on behalf of consumers.
