Claire Levey, a 92-year-old Magnolia Court resident, was among residents taken to the gallery in Millbank for a morning viewing masterpieces.
“The paintings were beautiful,” Claire remarked. “It was nice to be out and about on such a lovely day and seeing something different.”
Claire is ‘ambassador’ for the home in Glanville Road, and also the residents’ representative with Barchester Healthcare.
The trip to Tate Britain, with some in wheelchairs, was one of the regular activities organised to create a vibrant and holistic environment for the residents.
The home’s manager Fatima Totanes said: “These visits are invaluable for their wellbeing. Life enrichment is an integral part of running the home.”
