The adjustments – which include new timetables, temporary schedules, and service frequency changes – are part of TfL’s regular network updates across the capital.
For Sydenham, the key change will affect route 122, which serves pupils at Sydenham Girls’ School.
The afternoon school-day journey from the school to Plumstead will be retimed from 3.28pm to 3.01pm to better align with the school’s finishing time.
Elsewhere in London, several other routes will also see changes on November 1:
Route 12 will have a new timetable on all days and nights of the week with minor timing adjustments.
Route 28 will operate a temporary timetable, with buses every 11 minutes during the day (Monday–Saturday) and every 13 minutes during evenings and Sundays, due to works on Chamberlayne Road.
School routes 683 and 688 will each gain an additional morning journey to help with capacity.
Route E6 will move to a temporary timetable, slightly widening intervals between buses during busy periods.
Route H32 will have a new timetable, restoring its daytime frequency to every 12 minutes (Monday–Saturday).
TfL is advising passengers to check live updates before travelling and to allow extra time for journeys while the new timetables settle in.
