The Tes Schools Awards, which celebrate the best of education across the UK, named Sutton High School in the category of Independent Senior School of the Year.
A panel of education leaders selected the shortlist for 22 categories.
Beth Dawson, Sutton High headteacher, said: “We are thrilled to be shortlisted by Tes in the prestigious category of Independent Senior School of the Year.
“It is a powerful testament to the passion, dedication, and achievements of our incredible staff, students, and the entire Sutton High School family.
“Together, we make Sutton High a truly remarkable place to learn and grow.”
The awards, which recognise the UK’s best teachers and schools, added a new category this year: Inclusive Trust of the Year.
The final category, the Lifetime Achievement Award, will be announced on the night of the awards.
Jon Severs, editor of Tes Magazine, added: “We have seen some incredible entries nominated in this year’s awards.
“The Tes Schools Awards are a highlight of the year, and it is important that we properly recognise the fantastic work that has been done in education across the academic year.”
Winners will be announced on June 20 at the Grosvenor Hotel, Park Lane, London.
