HMRC publishes the list every three months, highlighting individuals and businesses who have deliberately failed to meet their tax obligations or filed incorrect returns.
Anyone who hides income or avoids paying tax could face serious fines.
Aowlad Kabiri, trading as Ayshea Tandoori at 57 Lind Road, was fined £26,034.27.
Between July 1, 2020, and October 30, 2023, £54,809 of tax went unpaid.
The Papa John’s on Wrythe Lane in Carshalton was £166,373.49 after £292,875.72 of tax went unpaid between April 1, 2011, and April 30, 2020.
Manuel Cilio Gomes Faria, also on Wrythe Lane, was hit with a £151,598.94 penalty.
£333,184.50 of tax went unpaid between June 1, 2011, and September 6, 2018.
Tax default occurs when individuals or businesses fail to pay taxes owed, either by not reporting all income, missing payments, or attempting to evade payment altogether.
HMRC can impose fines, extra charges, and take legal action against offenders.
Chancellor Rachel Reeves has highlighted the unfairness of some people evading tax while others pay their dues, saying: “When working people are paying their taxes while still struggling with the cost of living, it cannot be right that others are still evading what they rightly owe in tax.”
