Officers were called to reports of a serious sexual assault in Sunny Hill Park at around 8.30pm yesterday (September 15)
Shortly after the report, a 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of rape nearby.
The park remains closed by a crime scene the following day as investigations continue.

Nobody else is being looked for in relation to the incident but officers are appealing to the public for information.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “A 17-year-old boy remains in police custody after he was arrested on suspicion of rape shortly after reports of a serious sexual assault in Sunny Hill Park, Hendon at 20:21hrs on Monday, 15 September.
“A crime scene remains in place while initial investigations are carried out. The community can expect to see an increased police presence and detectives are thanking residents for their patience and support.
“They too would like to reassure the public that they are not seeking anyone else in relation to this incident, following a prompt arrest by officers.
“Anyone with information relating to the incident is encouraged to contact the Met via 101, quoting 7178/15SEP.
“The victim-survivor continues to receive support from specially trained officers.”
