Newsquest will not reveal the details of which two contestants of the 2025 series found themselves in the bottom two, since these results have not been verified (and to not spoil tonight’s programme).
Following the semi-final show, it was Karen Carney and Carlos Gu who topped the leaderboard with a combined score of 78 for their two dances.
The pair first danced the waltz to One Moment in Time by Whitney Houston, which earned them 39, followed by a salsa to Turn the Beat Around by Vicki Sue Robinson that also scored 39.
However, at the bottom were Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillo, who scored 70.
The semi-finals mark the last elimination of the 2025 series before the winner is crowned next week (December 20) at the grand final.
Tonight (December 14), judge Craig Revel Horwood will have this week’s casting vote in the dance-off, if needed, to decide who makes it through to the finals.
‘Sad, awful and cruel’ – Strictly fans ‘gutted’ over week 12 semi-final result
As the results show, Strictly is filmed on the same night as the rest of the show, but broadcast a day later, which allows people who are in the crowd for filming to know who is eliminated ahead of time.
Due to this, the week 12 dance-off results were revealed online late last night by the Strictly Spoiler account.
Taking to X, one fan reacting to the spoiler wrote: “And it’s over. We lost.”
As another viewer said, “That’s my fave out. Not bothered who wins now. Shall not bother watching the rest.”
A third fan wrote: “The Strictly Spoiler I DIDN’T WANT all series happening at the very end. SAD, AWFUL, CRUEL.”

One more Strictly viewer said: “Strictly spoiler is disappointing, but I was expecting it unfortunately.”
Elsewhere, although many were shocked and feeling rather upset, they agreed with the dance-off result: “Strictly spoiler is in and thank GOD.”
The Strictly Come Dancing results show will air on Sunday, December 14, on BBC One and iPlayer at 7.45pm.
