Templar will open on Saturday (March 1).
The new venue will be a “relaxed neighbourhood restaurant and wine bar” serving “seasonal creative dishes”.
It will be located in the East Bank cultural quarter, which is home to the V&A East, BBC Music Studios, and Sadler’s Wells East.
The restaurant is being run by those behind Italian-inspired Stratford restaurant Darkhorse.
Co-founder Lee Glen said: “After the success of Darkhorse, we’re thrilled to open Templar in nearby Stratford Cross.
“The area is buzzing and we’re really proud of the menu.”

The restaurant will have an open dining room and a bar stocked with Italian spirits.
The dining room will have a mid-century design with blue accents, a reclaimed terrazzo floor, and leather burgundy banquettes.
There will also be a mezzanine with a wine cave and a semi-private dining room.
Richard Sinclair, who has worked at Terra, Lardo, and Pied à Terre, will be the head chef.
His menu will include small plates such as pig’s head croquette and sea bass crudo, as well as larger dishes like truffle and ricotta ravioli and chargrilled monkfish tail.
Ian Goodman, another co-founder, added: “The name Templar derives from the history of this brilliant location in which Knights Templar owned the land back in the 1080s building wooden watermills on the adjacent River Lea to grind the locals’ cereal crops.
“This is also referenced in the nearby Temple Mills Lane.
“Discovering the local history of the area, it shows a long-forgotten connection to use of the land in the distant past which many people will not know about.
“Fast forward to the present where we are really happy to be a part of the new development here as it continues to be regenerated as London’s new cultural quarter.”
