My friend and I went for a post-work Thursday evening drink and food and I’m so glad we chose the perfect place.
Located just a short walk from the buzz of the piazza, the restaurant blends sleek, modern design with a laid-back vibe, making it the perfect spot for everything from casual bites to a more intimate dinner.
One of the first things that stands out at Sticks and Sushi is their commitment to fresh, high-quality produce.
It’s not just about sushi here; it’s about a variety of unique and unexpected combinations.
I always start my meal with their Tuna Tartare Bites – a dish that I simply can’t get enough of. Each bite is a delicate balance of tender tuna, spicy mayo, and a touch of sweetness, all resting on a crisp, perfectly sized cracker.

Another highlight on their menu is the Cauliflower in Truffle.
Who knew this vegetable could shine like it does at Sticks and Sushi?
The cauliflower is roasted until crispy, then drizzled with a rich, aromatic truffle that elevates the dish from a simple veggie side to an indulgent treat.
The richness of the truffle paired with the slight earthiness of the cauliflower is pure magic.

For anyone who’s a fan of fish, the miso black cod stick is a must-try.
This dish is the perfect example of what Sticks and Sushi does best: marrying traditional Japanese ingredients with a modern twist.
The cod is perfectly cooked, flaky, and tender, with a caramelized miso glaze that adds a slightly sweet yet savoury depth.
Every bite is a bit of heaven, and it’s one of those dishes you could easily find yourself ordering again and again.
(Image: Immy Share, Newsquest) I also love their selection of rolls, and the tuna and salmon rolls do not disappoint.
Each roll is packed with incredibly fresh fish, and the rice is perfectly seasoned – neither too sticky nor too dry.
The rolls are simple but executed flawlessly, and the fish itself is what takes centre stage.
You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, and each bite is refreshing, light, and satisfying.
Lastly, I can’t go to Sticks and Sushi without indulging in some sashimi.
It’s hard to go wrong with fresh sashimi, but the salmon here is especially impressive.
The slices are thick and buttery, practically melting in your mouth.
Whether I’m eating it alone or pairing it with one of their rolls, it’s always a showstopper.
I often find myself going for another serving (or two!).
As far as service goes, the staff are attentive but not overbearing, and they seem genuinely knowledgeable about the menu.
They’re always happy to offer recommendations, and you can tell they take pride in the food they’re serving.
Overall, Sticks and Sushi in Covent Garden is a solid choice for a meal that’s both satisfying and exciting.
Whether you’re a sushi lover or someone who enjoys creative twists on traditional dishes, there’s something here for everyone.
I always leave with a full belly and a smile on my face, already looking forward to my next visit.
