Starlight Express will end its run at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre on Sunday, May 3, following a successful revival in the capital and ahead of a planned tour.
The production, directed by Luke Sheppard, got largely great reviews during its time in London.
The original staging ran for 18 years in the West End, one of the most successful theatre productions in West End history.
This latest version has remained outside the West End, but has established itself at the Wembley Park venue.
There are signs that the Troubadour chain of large, modern outer London theatres is moving towards a West End-style model of focussing on long runs of individual shows.
Its closure leaves an open question about what will replace it at the venue.
A similar approach can be seen at sister venue Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, which is currently home to The Hunger Games: On Stage.
Elsewhere in London, another classic Webber musical, Cats, will debut at the Open Air Theatre this summer.
