Kevin Scarnell featured in last year’s ‘Call It Out’ campaign aimed at keeping women and girls safe.
But Scarnell, 59, of Fellows Road, Swiss Cottage, has now been jailed for two years and eight months after he admitted attempting to meet up with a teenage boy to commit sexual abuse.
Kent Police said he “bombarded” someone he believed to be an underage boy with sexually explicit messages on dating and social media apps daily, then arranged to meet up with him.
He was caught after he drove to Maidstone to meet the boy.
He was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on October 16.

In the video on sexual harassment Scarnell said: “It is not something that I’ve personally experienced, but it is clear to me that it’s increasingly common behaviour.
“I would absolutely support them in going to the police if they felt there was a need to do that. And be prepared to be a witness.
“People should be able to go about their lives without being harassed or treated like an object.”
A Camden Council spokesperson said: “As soon as we became aware of this man’s crimes, we removed this clip, which was made last year as part of an important campaign.
“Our thoughts remain with his victim and all victims of sex crimes.”
