Footage shared on social media shows a person kicking and attacking someone on the ground at St Paul’s Way on Tuesday (March 25) at 9.01pm.
A car then drove the pavement and hit one of the two people.
The Metropolitan Police said officers were called to reports of “an altercation and road traffic collision”.
A man was taken to hospital for treatment and his injuries have been confirmed to be non-life threatening.
Police then arrested two men on suspicion of dangerous driving as investigations are ongoing.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “On Tuesday, 25 March at 9.01pm police were called to St Pauls Way, E14 following reports of an altercation and road traffic collision.
“Police attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated a man before taking him to hospital. His injuries have been confirmed to be non-life threatening.
“Two men were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
“Enquiries into the circumstances are on-going.”
