The incident was reported in St James Street shortly after 5.20am on December 6.
St James Street was taped off to both motorists and pedestrians for hours, with the closure lasting until around 7pm.
A man in his 30s was found injured and was taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries.
The Metropolitan Police has since shared an update on his condition.
A spokesperson said: “The victim’s condition has been assessed as non-life-changing and non-life-threatening.”
No arrests have been made at this stage.
