Eight of our pupils attended the inaugural Inspired Schools London Orchestra Day at Wetherby Pembridge, a new school in Kensington Olympia.
A selection of pieces were prepared and performed over the course of the day with St Anthony’s providing violins, a flute, a trumpet and the only French horn in the ensemble!

In the classroom, our Year 7 and 8 pupils have benefited from some exciting History lessons designed to implement their new learnings about the Tudors in some fun and challenging formats.
This included a mock courtroom case for the divorce of Henry VIII and an (almost) historically accurate version of Traitors, the BBC television show.

Some pioneering boys took our enrichment programme above and beyond; for the first time in the school’s history some of our pupils entered the UK Mathematics Trust Senior Maths Challenge, aimed at Sixth Form students.

Two Year 7 pupils achieved Silver certificates and one Year 8 pupil achieved a Bronze certificate. We are immensely proud of our Year 7 and Year 8 boys who showed great academic curiosity and courage in taking on such an advanced challenge.

This half term has set the stage for what is sure to be a busy academic year!
Upcoming enrichment opportunities include: several writing competitions for all age groups, a visit to watch the English National Opera at the London Coliseum and, most excitingly, a global Inspired Schools debate on artificial intelligence that will be held entirely online through Virtual Reality.
