Spa Valley Railway – one of south east England’s few heritage railways, running five miles between Tunbridge Wells and Eridge – will be hosting a dining experience where guests can eat a Sunday roast while aboard one of their vintage trains.
Relaunching this month, this experience will allow you to sit aboard one of the railway’s vintage carriages pulled by diesel and steam locomotives, as you travel through the scenic High Weald countryside while eating a roast chicken dinner.

This experience will then be followed by other Sunday roasts, including other meat options like roast beef on August 6 and 10, roast pork on June 29 and October 5 and roast lamb on June 1 and September 28.
The experience is bookable for £60 a person, departing from Tunbridge Wells station at 12:30pm.

The railway line was recently named as one of Britain’s “most beautiful lost railways” in an article by The Telegraph, and features a heritage railway museum at Tunbridge Wells to explore if you’re a vintage train enthusiast.
But if you fancy something different, the railway will also be putting on a full calendar of other foodie experiences on board its trains, like the popular Fish and Chips trains and Afternoon Tea trains, as well as the popular returning Kent Cheese Train for £37.
These events go towards funding the operation of this historic railway run by volunteers, alongside the vital fundraising campaign to raise £300,000 to replace a key bridge at Broom Lane.
