The incident happened at the junction of Southwark Park Road and Alma Grove, Bermondsey just after 2am today (July 14).
A car and police vehicle were discovered to have crashed at the scene.
The car initially failed to stop, according to the Metropolitan Police.
A man was found suffering a shoulder injury and was taken to hospital.

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 2.08am today (14 July) to reports of an incident at the junction of Southwark Park Road and Alma Grove, SE16.
“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and a paramedic from our tactical response unit.
“We treated a man at the scene and took him to hospital.”
