The work in the Wimbledon area will mean many services across South West London and Surrey will be replaced by buses.
Network Rail engineers will be renewing approximately 800 metres of track, ballast, and sleepers between Wimbledon and Earlsfield.
Points, which are moveable sections of track allowing trains to switch lines, will be replaced, and 100 metres of conductor rail, which powers trains, will be installed.
This work is expected to improve the reliability of the track, reduce faults caused by rail and wheel wear, and provide customers with a smoother ride due to the improved track layout.
Specific services between London Waterloo and Chessington South, Dorking, and London Waterloo via Kingston will not run.
On February 2, rail replacement bus services will operate between Clapham Junction and various locations including Twickenham via Kingston, Chessington South via Wimbledon, and more.
On February 9, rail replacement buses will operate between Clapham Junction and locations including Chessington South via Wimbledon, Surbiton (non-stop), and Surbiton via Kingston.
Berrylands station will be closed on both days.
Hourly services between London Waterloo, Alton, and Basingstoke will start and finish their journeys at Woking.
Peter Williams, SWR’s customer and commercial director, said: “We’re once again advising customers to plan ahead, this time if they’re intending to travel on our services on Sunday 2 and Sunday 9 February.
“When this vital maintenance is completed, our customers can expect better journeys and a more reliable railway.
“We appreciate our customers’ patience and once again would like to encourage them to check before travelling.”
Mark Goodall, Network Rail’s Wessex Route director, added: “We would like to thank passengers for their patience while we carry out these vital improvement works.”
