South Western Railway (SWR) is taking part in the Great British Rail Sale, which will see advance tickets reduced by up to 50 per cent on selected routes.
Destinations included in the offer from SWR Stations include London, Exeter St Davids, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Weymouthand Southampton.
Travel to or from Clapham Junction starts at just £9, while journeys to or from London Waterloo are available from £10.
Peter Williams, SWR’s Customer and Commercial Director, said: “The Great British Rail sale gives our customers the opportunity to explore so many fantastic destinations on the SWR network at a great price.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming customers old and new aboard our services as part of this great initiative.”
The discounted fares are available on selected services to and from London Waterloo and Clapham Junction, where advance tickets are sold.
The sale runs until Monday, January 12, with travel valid between Tuesday, January 13 and Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
SWR customers can also take advantage of the SWR Rewards scheme, which offers discounts on attractions, dining, and experiences.
Examples include discounted entry to the London Eye, money off West End shows, and offers at restaurants such as Gordon Ramsay’s Street Burger.
SWR is one of several train operators across England and Wales participating in the Great British Rail Sale, which aims to encourage more people to travel by train and explore cities, coastal locations and the countryside.
