Oquaine Simpson of Dacres Road, Forest Hill was charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon today (January 9).
He is due to appear at Bromley Magistrates court later today.
It follows the stabbing in Prince Imperial Road that left an 18-year-old student of Shooters Hill Sixth Form fighting for his life in hospital.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called at around 4.20pm on January 6 and were dispatched to the scene with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

The teen was stabbed just minutes from the college in Red Lion Lane, with the school closed for two days in the wake of the incident.
It has since reopened and the victim’s condition has now been assessed as non-life threatening.
A 17-year-old girl was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder, but has been bailed whilst enquiries continue.
