Shake Shack opens at King’s Cross Station at noon tomorrow (Tuesday November 18) and the first 100 customers through the doors will get a free ShackBurger or Shroom Burger.
It’s the 18th UK location for the burger brand, which is famous for its soft potato buns, 100% Angus beef burgers, crinkle cut fries and hand spun milkshakes, which use Shake Shack’s own frozen custard.
Meanwhile the Shroom Burger is a crispy-fried portobello mushroom stuffed with gooey melted cheese.
To celebrate the new restaurant, a frozen custard cart will be set up on the mezzanine level at the station from 12pm, serving free mini shakes until stocks last.
Commuters looking for a pit stop before their train can also pick up exclusive Shake Shack merch, while supplies last.
Other Shake Shack favourites including flat-top dogs, and ShackMeister® ale will be served at the new outlet, which is also offering King’s Cross diners a free hot drink with any breakfast burger from November 19 until January 6.
The brand started as a single hot dog cart in New York’s Madison Square Park in 2004 to help fund a public art project.
Named after the ride from the iconic movie Grease, the fast food chain now has more than 640 restaurants worldwide including branches in Camden Town and Brent Cross Shopping Centre serving elevated versions of American classics.
Shake Shack is located at Units 2/3 Mezzanine Level, King’s Cross Railway Station. www.shakeshack.co.uk
