The girls – aged 14, 16 and 17 – were originally arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm after reports of an assault at Seven Sisters Road, near the junction of Holloway Road, on Thursday (February 27).
Police were called to the scene at 11.35pm and a 75-year-old man, understood to have been a Bolivian national, was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
He then died on Friday (February 28).
After his death, the charges changed from grievous bodily harm to manslaughter.
The girls will appear at Highbury Magistrates’ Court on Monday (March 3).
Police have identified the victim as Fredi Reviro and a special post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
