The City of London Corporation is looking for a Senior Ranger (Waste) to join its North London Open Spaces division.
The full-time role comes with a salary of £41,813 – £46,396 per annum and a range of responsibilities centred on waste management, sustainability, and conservation, with 37 hours contracted a week.

The ranger will manage waste and recycling operations, lead a small team, and operate vehicles like refuse collection trucks.
They will also ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, waste legislation, and driver regulations.
A key part of the job will be to drive sustainability initiatives, including improvements to waste reduction and recycling, while maintaining the park’s award-winning standards such as the Green Flag Award.
The Corporation says the Senior Ranger role is crucial for keeping parks safe and welcoming for the 16 million visitors they attract each year.
The advert says the ideal candidate should be physically fit, comfortable with manual tasks and have experience managing a team in outdoor, fast-paced environments.
Strong leadership and communication skills are necessary.
Applicants need to hold a Certificate of Professional Driver Competence (CPC card), tractor driving certification, and a full clean driving licence with 7.5-tonne capability.
A flexible, proactive, and calm approach to working in all weather conditions is also essential.
