The main on College Road, SE21, has affected homes in SE4, SE15, SE19, SE20, SE21, SE22, SE23, SE26, SE27 and SW16.
Thames Water has warned customers to expect low water pressure after repair work was completed this morning (September 3).
In a statement, Thames Water advised its customers to contact them if any issues arise, and that anyone with additional support needs should register on their Priority Services Register.
In a statement Thames Water said: “Sorry if your water isn’t flowing as normal this morning. We’ve been dealing with a burst water pipe on College Road, SE21.
“We’ve now completed the repair and have begun putting things back to normal.
“Things are returning back to normal, your pressure may be lower than normal, but this will return as the pressure builds in the area.”
