Discussions between Greenwich Council, Transport for London (TfL), and various stakeholders have finally concluded, and the statue’s construction is now on track.

Trustee of the Greenwich Recreation and Artistic National Development (GRAND) committee, Claire Emissions, expressed her enthusiasm for the project, highlighting its potential economic impact.
She added: “Greenwich Park is already a beloved destination, and we are confident that this impressive statue will attract even more visitors from around the world.
“With its unique appeal, we expect a significant boost to local tourism and businesses, generating increased revenue for the area.”
