Ruth Jones hints at future projects with James Corden

Jones won the Female Performance in a Comedy award at the BAFTAs on Sunday for her portrayal of Nessa in Gavin & Stacey.

Upon accepting the award, she thanked various people, including the cast, crew and director of the show, along with the BBC.

But Jones said “the person I would like to thank the most” was her friend and fellow Gavin & Stacey creator James Corden.

She said: “The person I would like to thank the most is my dear, dear, talented, lovely, kind friend James Corden.

“With whom I have shared this astonishing journey for the past 17 years and without whom Vanessa Shanessa Jankins would not exist.

“I love you James, I love writing with you, long may it continue. Thank you.”

Following her win, Jones spoke about potential future projects with Corden now that Gavin & Stacey is finished, The Sun reported.

She said: “I love working with James Corden, I really do, and I hope that we will carry on working together.

“I think we will. We will, because we just both, like, sort of sitting in a room together.

“We do a lot of napping, but we do write as well when we get going and, yeah, I just love working with him.”
