The incident happened in Rush Green Road near Leonard Avenue at around 10.50am today (August 27).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found five people injured.
Two adults and three children were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
One of the children were taken to hospital as a priority.
Their conditions are unknown at this stage.
Bus routes 5, 103, 128, 175 and 499 are currently on diversion as the incident is being dealt with.
We have contacted Metropolitan Police for further information.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 10.50am today (27 August) to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Rush Green Road and Leonard Avenue, Romford.
“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer.
“We treated two adults and three children in total before taking them all to a local hospital. We took one child to hospital as a priority.”
