This is the first festive season since the price of a first class stamp reached £1.70 earlier this year.
The five stamps have been designed by award-winning illustrator Paula Doherty. Royal Mail also worked with Professor Ben Quash, Professor of Christianity and the Arts at King’s College London, and Professor Andrew Davison, Regius Professor of Divinity at the University of Oxford, on the stamp issue.

  How much is a first and second class stamp?
According to Royal Mail, the current prices are
- 1st Class from £1.70
 - 1st Class Signed For from £3.60
 - 2nd Class from 87p
 - 2nd Class Signed For from £2.77
 
  What is on this year’s Christmas stamps?
The stamps depict:
- Angel – 2nd Class
 - Mary and Joseph – 2nd Large Letter
 - Mary and the Baby Jesus – 1st Class
 - Shepherds – 1st Large Letter
 - Three Wise Men – £3.40
