From carols to screenings of Home Alone, to Big Band tunes and The Nutcracker ballet, there’s everything you could wish for at the Kensington landmark this month.
Home Alone – with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra – runs on Saturday, while Jazz star Jamie Cullum takes to the stage on Friday December 12 with his big band and special guest Aron.
Christmas isn’t Christmas without carols at the Royal Albert Hall, and handy song sheets are available to sing along to your festive favourites with an orchestra, choir, presenter, and soloists.
Concerts run on selected dates from December 14 until Christmas eve.

On December 17, Guy Barker’s mixture of jazz classics, unearthed treasures and Christmas oddities will put a swing in your step in the midst of the festive season.
He will be joined on stage by special guests Clare Teal, Clarke Peters, Vanessa Haynes, Giacomo Smith, Joe Stilgoe, Naomi Banks and Tommy Blaize, helping him celebrate ten years of raising the Royal Albert Hall roof.
On December 18 it’s the turn of resident organist and TikTok star Anna Lapwood, who will be hammering out the glad tidings through the great pipes.
Joined by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and The London Youth Choir, expect festive carols, joyous singalongs, uplifting readings, and seasonal film scores playing on the hall’s great organ.

Sue Perkins will be presenting Christmas with the Royal Choral Society on Monday December 15, then, to lift you out of your post Christmas slump there’s The Birmingham Royal Ballet with the Royal Ballet Sinfonia performing that most festive of shows The Nutcracker from December 29-31.
Featuring Tchaikovsky’s glorious score, with gorgeous period costumes and projections, the Christmas classic is a sparkling festive treat for the whole family.
As Clara’s toys come to life at the stroke of midnight, journey through a fantastical winter wonderland of dancing snowflakes to the kingdom of the Sugar Plum Fairy.
