Havering Council has a licensing sub-committee meeting planned for February 13 about the chain’s boozer The Moon & Stars, in South Street.
The hearing is set to decide an application by the pub to increase the number of gambling machines at the venue from six to seven, according to the council.
Wetherspoons declined to comment on the meeting or the application.
The Moon & Stars reopened in October last year after undergoing more than three months of “extensive” refurbishment.

The refurbishment also aimed to free up more space for customers to move around in front of the bar, with the width of several pillar reduced and more stools and circular tables put in place in this area.
However, some Recorder readers thought the pub looked “the same as 15 years ago” after the refurb.
The full agenda for the licensing sub-committee meeting will be published on Havering Council’s website a week before the meeting (February 6).
