Andreea Radu, who runs LadyRA salon in Romford Shopping Hall, has been named a finalist in the SOS Beauty Awards for the second year running.
She is one of only ten finalists in the signature treatment award for brows category, picked from almost 800 applications.
Specialising in permanent makeup for eyebrows, lips and eyeliner, Andreea said she is “incredibly grateful and honoured” to have been shortlisted.

“I hope I’m going to win in May,” Andreea told the Recorder.
“What this means to me is that it brings awareness to my business and proves I’m doing a good job.
“It’s huge recognition for my work being a finalist, and being in the top ten is already a win for me.”
LadyRA opened in Romford Shopping Hall in January, with Andreea running the small business by herself.
She said that it is “not easy” when her staff consists of just “me, myself and I”.
“At the moment, I’m working seven days a week because I need to be here in case someone cancels,” the permanent makeup technician explained.
“I plan to get Sundays off in the future, but at the moment I have to be here every single day.”
After a slow start in January and February, Andreea said business is picking up in March – and she is “hopeful for the following months to get even busier”.
If it does, LadyRA will expand the treatments it offers, she added.

A spokesperson for the SOS Beauty Awards wished Andreea the “best of luck” ahead of the awards ceremony, which will take place at the Hilton Deansgate Hotel in Manchester on May 24.
The spokesperson said: “Andreea Radu’s nomination for the signature treatment award for brows is a testament to her expertise and commitment to excellence.
“Each year, hundreds of businesses apply to take part in the awards, but only ten finalists are selected in each category, making it a highly competitive and prestigious recognition.”
