Romford BID has announced that the event will take place on Saturday, May 10, from midday to 3pm.
The celebration will be held in the historic marketplace outside Romford Shopping Hall.
Guests will be able to enjoy traditional pie and mash or sausage and mash, served by Bow Bells Café, and children’s lunchboxes prepared by Kiddiewinks.
Unlimited tea and coffee will also be available.
The Miss Jones Trio will entertain guests with 1940s tunes, while Rik’N’Roll will perform magic tricks.
There will also be free VE Day-themed face painting by Jungle Hair and Beauty for children.
Classic games will be available to spark some friendly competition.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the original VE Day, making the event particularly special.
The exclusive event is limited to 100 guests, with tickets costing £12 for adults and £5 for children.
Julie Frost, Romford BID director, said: “We’re so excited to bring the community together in such a joyful and nostalgic way this VE Day.
“It’s a chance for families to step back in time, enjoy some classic British fun, and create new memories in the heart of Romford.
“With live music, traditional food, and entertainment for all ages, it’s set to be a truly special afternoon.”
