Ten fire engines and 70 firefighters were called to the blaze on Faringdon Avenue, on June 13.
The London Fire Brigade’s 999 control officers received the first of 45 calls at 5.58pm.
Fire crews from Harold Hill, Romford, Hornchurch, Ilford, Dagenham, and Woodford fire stations attended, as well as several fire engines from the Essex County Fire and Rescue Service.
The fire was controlled by 7.51pm.
It is not known if there has been any injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade said: “Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters were called to a fire at a car repair workshop on Faringdon Avenue in Romford.
“Half of a single storey car workshop was destroyed.
“The Brigade’s 999 Control officers received the first of 45 calls alerting them to the fire at 1758.
“They deployed fire crews from Harold Hill, Romford, Hornchurch, Ilford, Dagenham, Woodford fire stations as well as several fire engines from Essex County Fire and Rescue Service. The fire was under control at 1951.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
