The proposal is part of a major redevelopment plan submitted to Havering Council this week.

In its place, a mixed-use scheme will deliver 106 new homes, alongside a commercial and community unit.

The application, referenced P0754.25, is the largest received by the council in recent days.

Elsewhere, Havering Council is considering a range of planning applications, including two proposals to convert residential properties into children’s care facilities.

One property, at 113 Pretoria Road in Romford, would provide care for up to three children with support from carers (ref: P0712.25).

Another scheme at 116 Petersfield Avenue proposes a guided learning and educational centre (ref: P0806.25).

Other proposals include porches, loft conversions, garages, and single-storey extensions.

Among them is a two-storey side and front extension at 112 Dorset Avenue in Romford (ref: P0835.25) and a garage conversion with rear extension at 220 Corbets Tey Road in Upminster (ref: P0814.25).

At 44 South Street in Romford, plans have been submitted to subdivide an existing shop into two units, one of which would become a beauty salon (ref: P0834.25).

Meanwhile, 147 Rainham Road in Rainham could see the construction of a three-storey building offering commercial space and five new flats (ref: P0745.25).

At 25 Squirrels Heath Road in Romford, an existing building could be converted into three flats, including a studio and annex (ref: P0805.25).

An upward extension is also proposed at Monkwood Close in Romford, adding four new flats to the existing block (ref: J0019.25).
