Emergency crews responded to the incident in Park Road, Hornsey, just after 11.30am on Friday, June 6.
The fire broke out in a mid-terraced building, with a restaurant on the ground floor and flats above.
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Six fire engines and around 35 firefighters responded to a fire in Park Road, Hornsey.
“The ground floor commercial space was partially damaged by fire.
“Four people left the property before the brigade arrived, and were assessed on scene by the London Ambulance Service.
“The brigade was first called about the incident at 11.37am, and crews from Hendon, Tottenham, Edmonton and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
“The cause of the fire is not yet known.”
Four people managed to escape the building before firefighters arrived and were assessed by paramedics at the scene.
There were no reports of injuries.
The incident led to the temporary closure of Park Road in both directions, causing traffic congestion up to Crouch End Hill.
The road has since reopened and the scene has been cleared.
