Ripple Road was closed westbound from Goresbrook Interchange to Lodge Avenue today (March 1) at 1.40pm after a car and motorbike crashed.
The rider has been taken to hospital with non life-threatening conditions, the Metropolitan Police said.
Two out of three lanes were closed at around 3pm, but the road was completely reopened by 3.34pm.
While the road was shut, there was queuing traffic in the area.
However all traffic has since returned back to normal.
