The singer wants to construct a modern exercise facility in the sunken courtyard of her Grade II-listed Primrose Hill home, the Sun has reported.
However, her plans have sparked objections from residents of a nearby block of flats.
The renovation plans have been met with resistance from the neighbours, who are concerned about the potential impact on their quality of life.
They have collectively lodged a complaint to Camden Council, highlighting the potential disturbance from “artificial lighting, amplified sound, or loss of privacy.”
The neighbours said: “Residents who chose this area for its tranquillity should not be forced to live with artificial lighting, amplified sound, or loss of privacy.”
They also raised concerns about the mention of “acoustic insulation,” suggesting that “music and voice projection could occur at any hour.”
They further stated that such a proposal could lead to “conflict, complaints, and even legal disputes”.
The objection also claims that the proposal has been made with “apparent disregard for the multiple adverse effects on surrounding neighbours”.
In addition to these concerns, one individual raised a separate issue regarding the potential displacement of local wildlife, such as squirrels and foxes, due to the new gym.
“The neighbouring property has a strict rule prohibiting large gatherings or parties, adopted precisely to preserve peace and respect among neighbours.”
The planned gym is said to be soundproofed from top to bottom, but this has not assuaged the neighbours’ concerns.
Ora moved into the £7.5 million property in 2021.
She currently remains locked in this battle over her renovation plans.
