The ceremony, led by Rev Chris Morgan, took place at Ilford War Memorial, honouring those who gave their lives in conflict.
The event was marked by a performance from the Redbridge Music Service youth choir, directed by Caroline Morris.

Revd Morgan welcomed those present, describing the service as a symbol of unity and shared commitment to peace.
The Act of Remembrance provided an opportunity for attendees to reflect on the sacrifices made by servicemen and women throughout history.
Lt Col David Utting, representative deputy lieutenant, delivered the Exhortation, before all present responded: “We will remember them.”
The Last Post was sounded, followed by two minutes of silence, during which children scattered poppies in tribute.
The silence was concluded with the sounding of Reveille.

FS Shand Ibrahim, of 241 Squadron and the Mayor’s Cadet, then read the Kohima Epitaph.
A reading from Matthew 5:1–12, the Beatitudes, reminded the gathering of the blessings bestowed upon the peacemakers and the merciful.
Mayor of Redbridge, Cllr Beverley Brewer, prayed for wisdom and resolve among leaders.

Paul Kaufman, representing Humanists, urged all to remember the value of every human life and to strive to live side by side in peace.
Revd Morgan led prayers for those whose names are known and those who will never be known, encouraging attendees to honour the past while putting faith in a future of hope.

The congregation joined together in an Act of Commitment, pledging to work for peace, heal the wounds of war, and build a just world for all.
The service concluded with a final blessing, calling for an end to bloodshed.
As the ceremony drew to a close, Revd Morgan urged everyone to go forward in love and respect, carrying the spirit of Remembrance into their daily lives.
