Regent’s Canal, which runs through Limehouse and beyond, has been named among 43 other well-rated walking spots nationally in a Which? survey.
People were asked to rate walks based on their scenery, wildlife, peace and quiet and more.
The nine-mile walk along the canal was given an overall score of 69 per cent based on responses, taking into account overall satisfaction and respondents’ likelihood to recommend the route.
Regent’s Canal walk is one that can be enjoyed by experienced and amateur walkers alike, with a difficulty rating of one out of five stars (with five being the most challenging).
According to Which?, scenery along the route prompted a score of two out of five stars, whilst places of interest en route saw it given three out of five stars.
Customers who completed the survey gave three stars for the way pointing and signage along the walk route, as well as food and drink options.

The canal is known to run past a number of pubs along the way.
Wildlife and parking on the route were given a one out of five, whilst peace and comfort was rated a two out of five.
Regent’s Canal is the only London walk route to have made it onto the list of best UK walks of 2025.
