Yubin Tamang, 20, has been named by his loved ones as the victim who died in the Redbridge Lane East crash on October 18.
Justin Clarke-Samuel, stage name Ghetts, appeared in court today (October 27) charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
In a fundraiser set up in memory of Yubin, the page reads: “Yubin had come to the UK in order to offer himself and his family back home in Nepal the life he had hoped and dreamed of so much.
“Yubin was known for his contagious smile, being so family oriented.
“Such a respectful young man who had his priorities all in order and definitely had a prosperous future ahead of him.”
The GoFundMe page was set up with the intention to raise money for his family.
The court heard that Yubin was an only child and that his parents sent him to the UK to receive an education.
The rapper has been remanded in custody and will next appear in court at the Old Bailey on November 24.
