Scott Gambier, of Ordnance Road, Enfield, appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on September 11, charged with 33 shop thefts.
The charges relate to 32 occasions of alleged theft at the BP garage shop in Rayleigh Road between May 7 and September 9.

Gambier is accused of stealing more than £1,100 of meat and other items from the store, alongside £120 of chocolate from Iceland in Brentwood High Street.
He is also charged with 30 counts of breaching a court ban.
Gambier was remanded in custody until his next hearing on October 9 at Basildon Crown Court.
