Officers from the Kent Police were called to Ramsgate Road, Margate, shortly after 4pm on August 7 with reports of an incident.
At the scene, it was discovered that a crash involving a single decker bus and a pedestrian had occurred outside Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital.
The pedestrian, a four-year-old boy, had left the hospital on foot at the time of the crash.

He was taken inside the hospital and pronounced dead a short while later.
His next of kin have been informed and police are now appealing for information, witnesses and footage.
