Rainham station will undergo renewal works to both its platforms between July 24 and August 23, train operator c2c has announced.
Platform one will close first – between July 24 and August 7 – meaning trains towards London will not stop at Rainham during this period.
For the following two weeks – between August 8 and August 23 – platform two will close, meaning trains towards Grays will not stop at Rainham.

c2c has confirmed it will be running a rail replacement bus service from Rainham to Purfleet and Dagenham Dock during the works.
The service will run every 15 minutes during peak times and every 30 minutes during off-peak times and weekends.
Donna Thorpe, c2c’s director of asset, said: “We are very pleased to announce this work, as we recognise that customers in Rainham have been waiting for an improved customer experience at their station.
“The platforms at Rainham are around 50 years old and they need maintenance to ensure they are safe and fit for purpose.
“The work taking place will disrupt people’s journeys and unfortunately this is unavoidable as we need to complete the work on both platforms, one after the other.”
She added that there will be c2c staff at the station to help customers with their journeys.
Passengers who need mobility assistance are advised to contact c2c in advance of travel to ensure a member of staff is available to assist them.
During the works the smaller car park next to the station building will remain closed, while the toilets on platform two will not be available in the final two weeks of the closure.
