Work to renew a level crossing next to the Mitre Bridge near Harlesden, just south of Willesden Junction station, is being carried out by Network Rail.
Engineers are set to work round-the-clock to replace rail, sleepers and drainage systems, which means the crossing at College Park being closed to traffic from 1.40am on Saturday till to 5.15am Wednesday.
“We are asking passengers to check before travelling,” Network Rail’s Gary Walsh advises. “We need to close the railway for four days to keep Mitre Bridge level crossing reliable.”
The work will affect part of the London Overground’s Mildmay line with passengers being advised to plan journeys ahead. Tickets are being accepted on buses and other train services.
The level crossing is for vehicle access to an industrial estate at College Park.
