Amre Maglad, 51, formerly of Elmira Street in Lewisham, was a consultant dentist at the hospital in Sidcup.
But nurses were horrified to discover that Maglad had secretly filmed them in their private changing rooms, the Daily Mail reports.
He had been placing his rucksack and iPhone in the corner of the room with the camera pointed towards them.
Maglad, who had now moved to Kenton Bank Foot in Newcastle, pleaded guilty to four counts of observing a person doing a private act for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification.
All of the offences took place in January.
At Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 28, Maglad was sentenced to six months in prison suspended for 18 months.
Magistrates noted that he destroyed the trust of nursing colleagues and caused considerable distress.
He will now be subject to sex offenders notification requirements of seven years.
The victims were granted restraining orders and Maglad was banned from Queen Mary’s Hospital.
Prior to these convictions he was a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry having been awarded a Master of Clinical Dentistry from UCL in 2000.
The General Dental Council (GDC) has suspended him for 18 months.
