Zaahir was taken inside the hospital and he was pronounced dead shortly after.
His next of kin has been informed.
Navid Feizi, Zaahir’s dad, said his son was a “sweet and charming boy”, adding “even when he was hurt, he was always smiling”, as reported by the BBC.
Mr Feizi said that his son had been visiting his grandmother in the hospital before the incident.
His mum, Azaria Green, described her son as a “sweet, funny boy with a cheeky smile”, on a GoFundMe page.
She wrote: “Everyone is devastated, but that word doesn’t feel like enough to explain how we are all feeling.
“Our sweet, funny boy with a cheeky smile that could make anyone’s heart full. The smile that we can’t see again.
“I didn’t even get to tell you how much I love you.”
Investigators from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
Witnesses, including passengers travelling on the bus who have not yet spoken to police, should call 01622 798538, quoting reference KH//055/25.
