Adedapo Adeshina allegedly claimed that he had a bomb in his suitcase at the hospital on Thursday, October 9.
The 55-year-old was charged with making a bomb hoax by communicating false information and appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court the following day.
Adeshina, of Church Street in Croydon, was not asked to enter a plea during the brief hearing.
His case was sent to Woolwich Crown Court with the next hearing scheduled to take place on November 7.
He was granted bail until that hearing.
