The Anchor, on Bridgen Road, has long been part of the local social scene and is being offered under a management partnership model.
Punch Pubs is calling for a dynamic and experienced operator who can revive the pub and restore its role as a gathering place for the community.
The listing describes The Anchor as “a charming pub offering a unique blend of tradition and modern fixtures and fittings, ready for you to bring to life.”
Located in a prominent spot on the main road and complete with on-site parking, the venue offers strong potential to attract both locals and passers-by.
Inside, the layout includes a single bar that serves three separate trading areas, allowing flexibility in how the space is used.
According to the listing, “Whether it’s a cosy corner for a quiet pint, a lively area for sports events, or a family-friendly zone, guests will find their perfect spot to relax and socialise.”
A major feature of the site is its large pub garden, which is described as “a rare gem, offering unparalleled opportunities for summer trading.”
The listing adds: “Imagine hosting epic barbecues, garden parties, and outdoor events that draw in the local community and beyond.”
Ahead of its reopening, the pub will benefit from a “significant investment,” according to Punch, giving the new operator a refreshed and upgraded venue to work with.
The management partnership requires initial ingoings of £3,000, with expected annual earnings around £63,815.

It also includes a private two-bedroom flat above the pub, featuring a separate living room, kitchen and bathroom.
Punch is seeking someone who is not only skilled at running a business, but also able to play an active role in village life.
The listing says: “We’re looking for a dynamic Management Partner to run the Anchor, Bexley, ensuring it’s where friends and families gather, new friendships meet, and unforgettable experiences are shared.”
The successful applicant will be expected to offer a wide range of entertainment and community events.
It says: “You’ll love sports, showing SKY and TNT Sports, and organising pub teams for pool and darts.
“You’ll also love hosting quizzes, monthly entertainment, discos, karaoke, and special occasions.”
An ideal candidate, Punch says, will be “an engaging personality who will become the face of the pub, welcoming guests with warmth and hospitality.”
They will also need to “delegate effectively to a well-trained and engaging team” and “transform the garden into a vibrant outdoor oasis when the weather permits.”
Enquiries are now open for those interested in becoming the new face of The Anchor and leading its return.
