Prison Island London, set to open in Hornsey Street, Islington, on September 9, says it goes beyond the typical escape room experience.
Unlike traditional escape rooms, where players must break out of a single room, here they can choose from over 30 different cells, which can be approached in any order and attempted as many times as desired.
The interactive adventure, based on a successful concept that originated in Scandinavia, offers a robust mix of games, sports, and skill-based tests.
Each ‘cell’ offers a mental or physical challenge, requiring the use of strategy, skill, and agility.
This unique experience is brought to London by MAKE IT NOW, a French company in the leisure industry, and live entertainment platform Fever.
Prison Island London is designed to combine the best of escape challenges with the thrill of an action game.
Teams of two to five players have 90 minutes to score as many points as possible, using their skills in logical thinking, agility, and physical tasks.
With each “cell” they enter, teams are faced with a different cognitive or physical challenge to solve under time pressure.
Some require lightning-fast reflexes and strategic thinking, while others test memory, co-ordination, collaborative problem-solving and team communication.
Whether dodging laser beams, solving color-coded puzzles, or operating complex mechanisms, every challenge is an experience that demands participants act skillfully and think creatively.
MAKE IT NOW founder Mikael Bouteillon, who is responsible for Prison Island London, said: “Our mission is to bring people together through play and create an unforgettable experience.
“The various cells provide a dynamic and versatile experience that blends action, logic, and teamwork.”
Tickets for the new experience will be available from August 12 and can be booked online exclusively through the Fever website or app.
The venue will be open from 2pm until 8pm from Tuesday to Thursday, 2pm until 9.30pm on Fridays, 10am until 9.30pm on Saturdays, and 10am until 6pm on Sundays.
It will cater to adults and children aged seven and above.
