Kristle Bravo, international nurse educator and manager at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT), has been shortlisted for practice educator of the year at the Nursing Times Workforce Summit and Awards 2025.
Kristle said: “I feel genuinely humbled and incredibly grateful to be shortlisted again.
“Every day, I feel privileged to support and guide our healthcare professionals on their journey of growth and development.
“Providing pastoral care, wellbeing support, and mentorship, and watching them grow into confident, skilled practitioners, is something I feel so lucky to be part of.
“Seeing them thrive not only strengthens our workforce but ultimately enhances the care and compassion we’re able to offer our patients.
“That’s what makes this role so deeply rewarding for me; and I am deeply honoured to have been recognised in this category for the second year in a row.”
The awards programme celebrates excellence in nurse recruitment and retention, wellbeing, and inclusion, as well as other key areas critical to addressing workforce challenges in health and social care.
Giuseppe Labriola, deputy chief nurse at PAHT, said: “I am absolutely delighted that Kristle has once again been recognised for her dedication and commitment through this prestigious awards scheme.
“Our trust values are to put the patient at heart, everyday excellence and creative collaboration.
“This recognition is testament to Kristle’s exemplary practice, which is valued widely across the organisation, and supports the delivery of our wider nursing, midwifery and allied health professional (AHP) strategy.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Kristle for all she does and wish her the very best of luck.”
The practice educator of the year category recognises individuals who go above and beyond in delivering clinical training, support, and professional development for nursing staff.
The awards ceremony will take place in November.
